Rhythm

Series 2006 - 2019

A series featuring studies in motion, presented as abstracted composites.  The idea was originally inspired by Eadweard Muybridge's work featuring the studies of animal motion through mutliple cameras firing in rapid succession on a single subject.

This series began very simlar, using the human form under low key lighting, captured as a model moved through a range of motions.  The resulting images were merged together to create abstract, surreal images.

The resulting images can be illusionary in nature, as from a distance, they can appear to be something entirely different, as many viewers have pointed out at some of the exhibitions featuring this series.
