Detroit Ruins

Abandoned skyscrapers and historic locations of the Detroit area.  This series features some of the most beautiful abandoned architecture that I've had an opportunity to shoot.  Yet, the beauty of these old structures is contrasted with their state of abandonment and disrepair, and speaks volumes as to the effect of the migration of the automotive industry away from Detroit.

A few of these buildings are scheduled for demolition.  Others continue to stand, still awaiting restoration.  Only time will tell their fate.
