Throne Throne Chair Series - March 2007. The "throne chair" featured in this series belonged to my Great,great Grandfather, who resided in Chicago. On Sunday October 8, 1871, the Great Chicago Fire struck the city. While fleeing the fire, the chair was placed in a horse drawn conveyance, and was one of the few items that survived from their residence. The chair was later restored my Grandfather, and through the course of time, ultimately ended up in my studio.
