Oxhorn and others

I've posted two new images in observations this week - "Oxhorn" and "The Girl in the Window".  Also new is one image in the Marble Block series and another in the Black and White Nudes section, which uses an antique chair that I've brought into my studio recently.  This chair has quite a history, I'm sure you'll be seeing more of it (I'm a sucker for a good backstory I guess...)

I've been toying quite a bit with my converted infrared digital camera lately.  This was a standard digital canon SLR, with a modified sensor that is receptive to the infrared wavelength (converted by n~vision photography).

While this camera really doesn't work well for color (in my opinion), converting the images to black and white after the fact really produces some interesting images.  I've been working on some of these source images in the style of the "Observations" series, which involves shooting the image digitally and the combining it with elements shot on film.  The "Oxhorn" image was shot on infrared, and then manipulated throught his process.  Much of the Marble Block series was also shot on infrared, though these are largely unmanipulated, other than converting the images to black and white.

Anyway - I have so many images left to review, let alone edit, from shoots this week, so I'm sure that there will be more to come soon.
