Sunday, July 19th, 2009 the Green Door Blues Bar & Grill in East Lansing, MI is hosting a benefit for Ingham County Officer Nick Nedow, his wife Megan, and their newborn daughter Ava. Officer Nedow has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. Officer Nedow is 29 years old, has been in law enforcement since 2004, and with Ingham County for over 2 years.
The Green Door Blues Bar & Grill has lined up over 6 hours of live entertainment to help raise proceeds for this family. Doors will be opening at 3 P.M., entertainment will begin at 3:30 P.M. A $10.00 admittance donation charge will be requested upon entry. The days events will be filled with many different ways to help to generate proceeds to help with the financial end of the burden this family has recently encountered due to medical expenses.
