"When from our better selves we have too long
Been parted by the hurrying world, and droop,
Sick of its business, of its pleasures tired,
How gracious, how benign, is Solitude."

Throne Chair Series - March 2007. The "throne chair" featured in this series belonged to my Great, great Grandfather, who resided in Chicago. On Sunday October 8, 1871, the Great Chicago Fire struck the city. While fleeing the fire, the chair was placed in a horse drawn conveyance, and was one of the few items that survived from their residence. The chair was later restored my Grandfather, and through the course of time, ultimately ended up in my studio.

Click to view more images from this portfolio The Red Barn Nudes
Infrared figure studies shot in or around a red barn. Since the images are black and white, this isn't obvious... of course. Infrared photography records reflected infrared light (not thermal infrared). Since infrared light is absorbed differently by the skin, the results are somewhat different than traditional photography.
